Glasshouse Cafe, Winter Opening

With winter soon approaching, we are all busy prepared for the expected colder weather, seasonal celebrations as well as making plans for the garden for 2019. With the walks being open throughout the year, the walled garden makes a perfect destination for a brisk winter walk. The estate boasts a number of footpaths through woodlands and fields, some of which are hard standing paths and fully accessible even when it is wet and muddy under foot.

Our Glasshouse Café will remain open throughout the winter, with our winter opening being on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10-2.30pm and will have a selection of hot drinks and homemade sweet and savoury treats on offer, a perfect way to warm up and relax in the warmth of the green house on a bright winter’s day.

Our annual Apple day took place on Sunday 7th October and proved to be another busy and successful family day out.

With the garden all prepped for welcoming in everyone from our local community and beyond, we were fortunate to have sunshine and warm weather for the duration of this year’s Apple Day fundraising event.

With craft stalls alongside our plant sales stand, apple stall and BBQ the day was a thriving showcase of many local products and businesses.

With our regular band providing a musical backdrop to events, tea coffee and plenty of cake ensured that no-one went hungry or thirsty.

Beyond the Wall would like to thank all of the volunteers, stall holders, donors of produce and cakes as well as everyone who attended this much loved event. We raised just over £1400 on the day, and are still receiving donations and selling plants and apples.

All money will go towards our programme of events that support the people who access our services

Our next event at the garden is our Winter Fare, where plenty of seasonal produce will be on sale, as well as drinks and seasonal treats. We look forward to welcoming you to Our Winter Fare on the 9th December, 1.30-3pm
