Month: December 2018

Christmas Closing

Beyond the wall would like to wish everyone who has supported the aims of the organisation over 2018. Its been a great year, with us arranging trips, new activities and some great volunteering opportunities to our clients. Skills learning and building have taken place in numerous ways and it’s been great to have been able to have worked with so many people in our local community. Thank you!

With Christmas nearly upon us, Beyond the wall will be hosting our annual client festive party on the 19th of December, with our last day open to clients being Friday 21st. We will be reopening our doors on 2nd January 2-019 and our café will be reopening too in the new year (Mon-Wed, 10-2.30pm) We look forward to welcoming you to the garden for a winter warmer and homemade sweet and savoury treats.

From everyone at Beyond the Wall, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Winter Fayre

Sunday the 9th December saw the start of our Christmas celebrations and festivities with the walled garden open once more for a seasonal fundraiser, our Winter Fayre.

With the mulled wine and cider providing a Christmassy aroma, our fayre included local live musicians providing plenty of atmosphere, while teas coffees and hot chocolates were served alongside our festive beverages and cake in the vinery.

With a variety of stalls, produce and gifts on sale, plenty of local, homemade presents were purchased, all contributing to the fundraising total that we have achieved for the year to support our clients through the variety of activities we run within the garden and beyond!

Beyond the wall would like to extend thanks for everyone who made this event happen, to the stall holders and volunteers who attended as well as the musicians who made the event feel that Christmas is now getting very near.

Thank you also to everyone who came along and bought produce, teas and cakes and made donations, which will assist us in ensuring that activities in the New Year are excellently resourced.
